Unlocked G1 Phones Available

December 16, 2008

Dont you just hate it when a phone comes out that you really want but you find it’s locked exclusively to a network – a network that you’re not subscribed to.

That happened with the T-Mobile G1. This awesome Android G1 phone was released to the public, but only the T-Mobile public.

Well thankfully many unlocked g1 handsets are available. These Android G1 phones have been properly unlocked from T-Mobile and although they can run as high as ~$500 they are completely carrier free and will work fine across any network.

Check out these unlocked Android g1  phones , greatdeals to be had.

T-Mobile G1 Reduce Already In The UK?

December 2, 2008

Yikes, the T-Mobile G1 has barely been available for a month in the United Kingdom but it seems that isn’t gonna stop T-Mobile UK from reducing their G1 pricing.

T-Mobile UK have reduced the cheapest G1 contract down to just £30, with the G1 handset available free. They’re also giving new customers an 8GB memory card too.

This new pricing structure should definitely bolster some fresh sales for Google and T-Mobile’s first Android Phone – hopefully we’ll see some reductions like that over here soon.. free handset anyone?

November 4, 2008

With the first Android handset, the T-Mobile G1 now readily available across the United States and te United Kingdom, fans of the Android platform who weren’t especially impressed with the G1 have begun to look towards it’s predecessor – the Android G2.

There’s a lot of speculation about the T-Mobile G2 – will there even be on? What hardware improvements will it have? Will it have a headphone jack and a flash?

If you’re a little intrigued about the next iteration of the Android platform, and would like to add your suggestions for what you’d like to see in the next G series Android phone, check out this Android website for more infomation:

T-Mobile have sent out invitations to a special press event taking place next Tuesday in New York City. The event will see the official unveiling of the first Android powered handset on T-Mobile.

We’re expecting them to unveil the HTC Dream/G1 handset, although we’d love to see a surprise HTC Touch HD included too!

Anyway, according to an ‘industry insider’, InfoWorld are reporting HTC’s plans to release the first Android powered cell phone, title ‘Dream’ later this year.

Little is known about the mysterious Dream Android phone other than it is believed to measure 3inches by 5inches long and comes complete with a full feature swivel out QWERTY keyboard (similar to the pic).
